- Maintain stamina when reading extended texts
- Demonstrate use of navigation pathways to support fluency when engaging with print, visual and multimodal texts (UnT1)
- Adjust voice, tone, volume and pitch in response to punctuation to enhance reading fluency and support comprehension (FIY5)
- Apply appropriate tone to represent characters’ emotions when reading dialogue (FIY5)
- Recognise different purposes and audiences for reading and adjust reading rate to suit the text’s purpose (FIY5)
