What's coming in Term 3?

Thank you so much for the continued interest in the Maths and English updates, as well as the new CHPS units. I genuinely appreciate your love and support.

All CHPS units for Terms 3 will be developed.

Please know that I am working as quickly as possible; however, the workload involved is significant. Because there are many variables involved, including being a mum first, the time required to develop each unit, and the editing process, I am unable to provide exact or estimated release timeframes - I do not want to make promises that I can’t keep.

My teaching slides take time to create because they are made by a real teacher with real classroom experience. They are not rushed or auto generated by AI, and they are not just a Word document dropped onto slides with a font change and a nice background. That might look finished, but it is not good teaching.

I have seen plenty of resources that do exactly that. Some are lightly edited AI output, others are copied text with very little thought about how the lesson will actually run. Often they come with a big price tag too. That is not the kind of resource I want to put my name on.

Everything I create is designed with both teachers and students in mind. These slides are meant to be used, not just displayed. You can write and draw over them, move pieces around, drag and drop, and switch between digital and printable options. Modelled and worked examples are already there, ready when you need them. The slides support explanation, discussion and hands on learning, not just reading off the screen.

I would love to produce a huge number of resources quickly, but that is not realistic when you are building lessons this way. My focus is on creating tools that actually support teaching, not scripts that tell you what to say. That only works when a real human is behind the design, thinking carefully about how it will work in a real classroom.

At the top of the page, you will see a collection titled New Resources, which automatically displays the latest releases. You can also navigate to Shop in the main menu and use the filters to sort by most recent resources, as well as select stage, year, resource type, and subject to help narrow down what you may need.

I sincerely thank everyone for their patience and support. However, I need to be completely honest with you all. The workload involved has been far greater than I ever anticipated, and I simply can’t keep up at the pace I have been working.

Working from 8:30am through to 2-4am most days, while running on only a few hours of sleep, is really taking its toll. I have reached a point where this schedule is no longer sustainable.

I will absolutely continue releasing all 3-6 Maths and K-2 English unit updates, along with all K-6 CHPS units. However, I may not always be able to have resources ready in time for when you need them. There may be occasions where content is released after you have already taught the unit, and I am truly sorry for that. Please know that I am genuinely doing my very best.

I care deeply about supporting educators and helping create meaningful resources for classrooms. I also do not like letting people down. But I need to be realistic, both to manage expectations and to prioritise my own wellbeing, as well as being a present and engaged mum for my family.

The following subjects/stages have been put on hold for the time being:

The order and timing of our production and releases may change from time to time. We do our best to keep everything on track, but plans can shift without notice.

Most CHPS units take up to three weeks to complete. Some units are released in stages, meaning the first half is available initially, with the second half released once it is finalised. This allows you to begin teaching the unit straight away while the remaining content is being completed.

There is no guarantee that these units will be ready before term begins - hopefully in the first week or two.

PowerPoint to Google Slides Conversion: Important Update for Teachers

There have been increasing reports this year of issues when converting PowerPoint files into Google Slides. This appears to be affecting a range of resources, not just my own, and is something teachers should be aware of when planning and delivering lessons. The main concern being raised is that presentation notes are being altered during the conversion process. In some cases, completely unrelated notes are appearing in slides. For example, a common issue at the moment is fractions content appearing in the presentation notes of unrelated units within the 2026 Maths Teaching Slides. This is understandably confusing and can disrupt lesson flow. At this stage, it is unclear why this is happening. I have contacted Google in an attempt to find answers or a solution, but unfortunately I am still waiting. So far, I have not received clear guidance, and enquiries have been passed between departments without resolution. All teaching slides are currently created in PowerPoint. While I understand and appreciate the convenience of Google Slides and its accessibility through Google Drive, the platform does have limitations. Many of my resources are designed to be highly interactive, using animations, drawing and writing tools, and specific clipart and fonts. These features are only supported in PowerPoint and cannot always be accurately replicated in Google Slides due to its restrictions. Given the current workload, it is not feasible to create separate Google Slides versions of each resource. Each CHPS unit takes approximately two weeks to develop, followed by several additional days of editing. On top of this, the Maths and English unit updates take several days each. With 63 units per term, I am currently at full capacity, and there simply are not enough hours in the day to produce parallel formats. When using these resources in Google Slides, please be aware that presentation notes may not always transfer correctly. This does not occur every time, but it is happening often enough to flag as a known issue. To check whether the problem is caused by the conversion process, it is recommended to open the original file in PowerPoint and compare it side by side with the Google Slides version. If the notes appear correctly in PowerPoint, then the issue is likely due to the conversion. However, if you notice errors within the PowerPoint file itself, please reach out. Download Issues on DoE Networks: What Teachers Need to Know

Many teachers have recently been experiencing issues when attempting to download resources from the Aussie site while connected to the DoE network. Over the past few days, several teachers have reported that downloads are not completing as expected on school devices. Interestingly, the same files download without any issues when accessed using a personal network, which suggests the problem may be linked to DoE network settings rather than the files themselves. What seems to be happening is that the download begins as normal, then pauses partway through. After waiting approximately 8 minutes, selecting “resume” allows the download to complete successfully. While this delay is understandably frustrating, it has worked consistently as a temporary workaround for many teachers. At this stage, it is unclear what has caused the change. One possibility is a possible update over the school holidays that may have introduced stricter controls on downloads from sites that are not explicitly approved within the DoE network. TpT is a well-known platform used by many teachers. I cannot confirm how it is currently being handled within DoE network security settings, but given its popularity, it may be on the approved IT list. Please bear with me while I work through this. I am genuinely unsure why this is only occurring when a device is connected to the DoE network. Personal devices and those in non-DoE settings, including many independent schools, are still able to download the exact same files without any interruptions. If the “resume after waiting” option does not suit your situation, there are a couple of alternative approaches that may help. Some teachers have had success downloading the files using a mobile device instead. For example, when accessing the link through Chrome on an iPhone, you can choose to save the file directly to your phone or upload it to Google Drive. From there, you can then access and download the file on your computer via Google Drive. Although these workarounds are not ideal, they do provide a short-term solution while the issue is being investigated. Thank you for your patience as this is being worked through.
